Novena before the Jubilee Act Party Jesus as King and Lord

On Thursday, November 10 start Novena before the Jubilee Act of Acceptance of Jesus Christ as King and Lord. It will be officially terminated on November 19 this year, on the eve of Christ the King, in the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Krakow-Lagiewniki, and the next day in all Polish parishes.

On the first day of the novena faithful will pray for the recognition of the Reign of Christ the King and submit to His law, in the coming days will give thanks for the 1050 anniversary of Polish Christianity, the mercy of God and the maternal protection of Mary, Queen of Polish. The fifth day of novena will be the propitiation for the sins of the nation, the sixth prayer for the renunciation of the devil and all his affairs. On the seventh day of the novena promise to the faithful that they will do the will of Christ the King, and in the eighth, that will build the Kingdom of Jesus Christ the King in our Nation. The last day of the novena will summarize consecutive days of prayer, and its theme will be: "Christ the King throughout the nation and homeland."

Day 1 - Recognition Reign of Christ the King
and submission to His Law

Immortal King of Ages Lord Jesus Christ, our God and Savior! Faced you present among us, we want to prepare for the celebration of the adoption of your reign in our country. I humbly kneel before Thy majesty and confess that your reign we need. Thank you for your care and blessing for all the inhabitants of our country. Lord Jesus, the great crowd that had come to Jerusalem for the feast, he recognized in you God's promised Messiah. Today you come to our homeland, our towns and villages. We want to cry out: Hosanna! We want the words of our Jubilee Act considered in you our only King and submit to your law of love. Once your disciples did not understand what was your solemn entry into the Holy City. We ask you, Lord, give us his Spirit to enlighten our minds and open hearts, so that we can aware of the seriousness of this Act take your reign over us.

Day 2 - Jubilee 1050 anniversary of the Baptism of Polish

But some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and spoke these words given to me all authority in heaven and on earth. Lord Jesus, you have the passion and his glorious resurrection, the apostles sent into the world to spread among the nations your kingdom. 1,050 years ago, their successors reached also on our land, and the baptism received by Lives, our first historical ruler coincides with the beginnings of our country. It is for us a special sign of divine Providence, the Polish born in baptism. Our ancestors erected the first cross as a sign of yours, O Christ, the presence of you by your sign of victory was in the midst of our nation every day, until the end of the world. Today, our generation wants to renew the will of ancestors and recognize that you, Jesus, our King, is given all authority in heaven and on earth, also on Polish soil. Let indelible baptism in the name of the Father and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit impressed upon the soul of our nation testifies today and over the coming centuries, that we are your property and you want to belong.

Lord Jesus, the only-begotten Son of God, your Father loved the world and gave us you as a savior. You have plucked us from the slavery of sin and revealed to us his royal law - the law of love. You teach us that only persistence in love can give us the fullness of joy, because love triggers the closure of the narrowness of selfishness. Love leads us to the people and teaches that "it is more blessed to give than to receive". Love releases of staring at each other, learn empathy, empathy to the needs of others: wife, husband, parents, children, relatives, friends, neighbors. Love is a commitment to each other, and in this devotion we become like you, become your Jesus, friends.

Today, 1,050 years later, our generation has discovered a pearl of great price, which is your reign and your will for our Nation. We also want to sell everything that is ours, our human plans and calculations, to acquire the precious pearl of your love. For you, Jesus our King, we want to base our personal and national. You want to entrust our country, in the confidence that you have the power to solve even the most difficult problems. With your help, in accord with your law we want to shape our Polish present and future.

Christ, King of the treasure hidden in a field, help all Poles perceive the true value of your Kingdom.
